Corrie Ten Boom

Corrie Ten Boom
Kathleen White
The 112-page biography Corrie Ten Boom written by Kathleen White shows what is was like to be a Christian Girl trying to save Jews during the Holocaust. Corrie and her sister Betsie succeed in hiding Jews in their house for a long time…but it’s not long enough. Corrie and her sister are both caught and end up going to a concentration camp. Betsie is barely living and ends up dieing when she gets sick. Corrie shows the kind of faith and courage that I don’t think I could ever have when she is left with nothing.
When Corrie is stuck and no-where to go she doesn’t give up. Corrie has so much faith in God while she’s in the Concentration camps. First, Corrie is walking through the guards while hiding her clothes, bible, and medicine in a small visible pouch when it’s her turn to be searched she does a silent prayer hoping not to get hurt but something miraculous happens and the guards just skip right over her. Also even though she knows that she could get killed she sneaks time after time into the hospital to see her sister. I think that this book is a great book that shares the quality of faith and hope with it’s readers and I recommend it to all.
